Sable

Here is Sable from The Best Little Horse House In Hastings, Inc in Nebraska.
Sable is a 4 year old 13.2 hh quarter pony.  She was worked with last weekend with a bareback saddle, and did very well having weight over her.  My 16 year old layed over her back while I walked with her and each time she went a little further without starting to trot off.  She recently had her hooves trimmed and is UTD on worming.  She's a very nice little horse..  If someone wanted to train her, she's a perfect size for a youth or even a small adult.  Her adoption fee is $275.

Abra

Here is Abra from The Best Little Horse House In Hastings, Inc in Nebraska.
Abra is a 12 year old Standardbred retired harness racer.  He is broke to ride and drive.  I used him as my personal trail horse in Ohio.  He had a suspensory ligament injury, but was put up right for a year on stall rest.  The only sign that he shows of the former injury is that his fetlock on his back right drops down further than the other.  Early last month he was limping on the back left, the opposite of where he was injured.  We took him to the vet and he said probably some sign of arthritis.  We gave him bute for a couple of days, and since then he has shown no signs of being uncomfortable.  So, he may have kicked something or it may indeed be the early stages of arthritis.  He's easy to get along with.  I have NOT had time to ride Abra in a year and a half, which is why I need to re-home him.  Working with the rescue has given me little time to enjoy riding horses as a recreational activity.  Easy keeper.  His adoption fee is $600.00.

Charlotte

Here is Carlotte from The Best Little Horse House In Hastings, Inc in Nebraska.
Charlotte is a 6 or 7 years old and is a chestnut grade horse, we are thinking probably a TB cross.  She's is about 15.1 hh and is very easy to get along with.  She accepts bridle, saddle, rider, and lead line and will walk with a rider on lead line but does not know what to do with forward motion unless she's got that lead-line attached to her.  Her adoption fee is $275.

Shilo

Here is Shilo from The Best Little Horse House In Hastings, Inc in Nebraska.
Apache's Shilo will be here at the end of July and will be available for adoption at the end of August.  He is in training and will be fully trained to ride upon arrival.  He will be taking part in some events here in Hastings for public appearances.  He is a 7 year old appy from the FAR Ranch in Idaho.  He is being trained by Snowy Ridge Ranch in Colorado.  We are accepting adoption applications for him (on my "adoptable horses" page on my website www.thebestlittlehorsehouse.com ) , but have not set an adoption fee for him yet.  Many people have come together to help Shilo out, and a couple thousand dollars have gone into him thus far just for traning, vet work, and transport.

Blue Boy

Here is Blue Boy from Painted Star Stables in Florida.
This is Blue Boy, a 5yr old, 16+ hh Blue roan Shire/TB cross Gelding. He came to us off a PMU ranch in NH off the Canada Boarder. The rancher is closing down and lost the lease on some of his land so he is going to run 150 horses throw auctions, these horses will most likely end up at the Canada slaughter houses. We decided to help Blue out of this horrible situation, along with the help of the Friends Of Barbaro who raised the money for his shipping! Thank you to all the FOB’s who got him safe to us!  He is a total sweet hart and now runs over for cookies and love. He was totally unhanded when he arrived so we are taking his training slow. He will now lead, stand for grooming and pick up his feet, we will be working on lunging and loading in a trailer next:.)Click on his page to keep updated on his training. Adoption fee $850.00

Mysti

Here is Mysti from Painted Star Stables in Florida.
This is Nelly she is a 20yr old Reg. AQHA mare. She is around 15hh, sound and healthy. She has no vices on the ground, she leads, loads, ties, stands ground tied, picks up her feet, very easy to get along with. She is trained under saddle and has a very nice trot, the kinda trot you could ride for Hours with out bouncing at all. She just floats. She is a great trail horse and is good for anyone at the walk. Very controllable and goes wherever you ask her to. At the trot she can kick out a little when fist asked but after that she is good to go and will go until you ask her back down to a walk. If asked to canter she will do a little Buck, we will have the chiropractor out soon to see if its a pain issue or not. But at this time I would say she is a good horse is you just want to walk and trot, but she would prefer not to canter. She would love to be a trail buddy for someone who just likes to take a slow relaxing ride. Adoption fee is $450.00

Sherlock

Here is Sherlock from Crosswinds Equine Rescue in Illinois.
Meet Sherlock, aka "Key to the Rhin". Sherlock won an astounding $48 as a racer, then won far more as a show jumper. Retired from show jumping now, Sherlock is a fantastic lower level dressage and hunter under saddle mount. He is a tall 16.1 to start with, and when he realizes you've just unloaded at a show I swear he grows another hand - he puffs up his pride and personality and struts his stuff! This boy is a true schoolmaster, and will teach his rider to do their lateral work exactly right, without being mean or scary on any level. Sherlock must have regular turnout on grass to avoid pacing and weight loss, and does not like to trail ride. We adopt all over the US, and can help work out transport.

Mia

Here is Mia from Crosswinds Equine Rescue in Illinois.
Mia is a big boned, big built, beautiful 6 year old draft cross mare. She apparently had basic riding training in her past and was ridden by an experienced young woman. It appears someone or several people tried to bully Mia in her past, and were unsuccessful, so she arrived believing that if she pushes or forces people, we will give to her pressure and accept her as alpha. Once her health and other key issues were established, our first mission was to help Mia understand that life in the human world works far better when people and horse are both respectful to one another.
